Bloomberg To Launch Australian Feed

Hong Kong and Sydney -- Bloomberg Television today announced a major investment in a separate, dedicated feed that will be customized for audiences in Australia. The new offering, available in June, will offer advertisers the ability to localize insertions to reach this key business market.

Bloomberg Television leads the way in Australia as the most widely distributed business news service with more than 2.6 million households. Bloomberg Television is available on the largest pay TV platforms, Austar and FOXTEL as well as Fetch TV, Neighborhood Cable and Transact and TPG.

"This latest initiative continues Bloomberg\'s commitment of investing in important markets such as Australia," said Gary Groenheim, Bloomberg Television\'s Commercial Director for the Asia-Pacific region. "Our Australian feed will help us better serve our growing roster of advertising clients and open up opportunities for customized programming initiatives to build greater affinity with the local audience."

"By developing a more customised presence in Australia, Bloomberg Television will be able to both widen its viewership and offer advertisers more targeted options," said Mark Froude, head of ad sales for Asia-Pacific, Bloomberg Television.

The only truly global business news network with hubs in New York, London and Hong Kong, Bloomberg Television covers business and financial news, markets and economic events worldwide.  Bloomberg TV\'s Asia hub, located in the heart of Hong Kong\'s business district, provides live coverage of Asia-Pacific markets and brings interviews with top newsmakers by hosts Rishaad Salamat and Susan Li. Today, Bloomberg Television is the most widely distributed full-time, pan-regional business and financial news channel in the key financial hubs of Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Korea.
